No. The rhythm of the outputs is marked according to the performance of the different people that make up the group. The navigation with double kayaks allows us to travel more distance getting tired half and sailing twice as fast.

The self-emptying kayaks and the double kayaks are very stable and difficult to overturn. Anyway before starting the activity the monitor will have informed you how to proceed. The instructions and the help of the monitor will help you to get back up without any difficulty.

In the event of cancellation by KAYAK K1, the customer will be entitled to postponement, substitution for another activity or refund of the amount paid.

No, each kayak is designed for a specific use, so the first thing we have to do is decide what this use will be. We must also assess the measure, for the benefits we seek and, above all, where to save it.

There are two types of kayaks: self-emptying or open (sit on top) and closed (we get inside). In the Sit on Top we go above and we have a system of emptying and thus the water does not accumulate in its interior. If we overturn it is easy to go back up and do not worry about taking out the water. Because of their ease of use and security they are a very good choice to start browsing. In the closed we go inside and through the "neoprene covers" we get that water does not enter the kayak and go dry. This makes them more suitable if we want to use them throughout the year.

According to its use we can divide the kayaks into four large groups: recreation, sea kayak, whitewater and kayak-surf.

The recreational ones are those that allow us to go kayaking without complications, they are very stable and easy to drive. These kayaks are most suitable as fishing kayaks; many of them already have prepared versions or can be equipped with all kinds of accessories.

The sea kayaks are designed to sail in the sea, swamps and rivers. They are longer and narrower than recreational ones, which makes them faster and more efficient. They have great capacity of load and there are for departures of a day, for several days and for expeditions. They can also be equipped for fishing.

The whitewater is one of the most extreme and demanding aspects of canoeing. There are short and manoeuvrable kayaks that will allow us to navigate any river. Within the rough waters we find the "rodeo" kayaks that will allow us to perform the most spectacular pirouettes in the smallest rollers (also suitable for kayak-surfing), those of "creek" (also very manoeuvrable kayaks but with more volume for to be able to navigate in rivers of great unevenness, to do jumps and to sail by rivers of great volume), those of slalom and those of descent.

Those of kayak-surf are kayaks with flat hull and with very marked edges. We can find mixed that also serve to lower rivers and for "rodeo", and specific that have the most pronounced edges and fins for higher performance.

The longer the length (length of a boat) and the shorter the width (width of a boat) the kayak will be faster. It also affects the shape of the hull (part of the boat in contact with water), the flatter the slower and rounder the faster. The fastest kayaks are those of Sea kayak.

The wider the sleeve and the flatter helmet the kayak will be more stable. The most stable kayaks are recreational and self-emptying kayaks.

The kayak, the paddle, the life jacket (fully recommended, we would say essential), the "neoprene covers" in the closed kayaks and appropriate footwear (recommended booties). You can also find among many items according to the use you will give.

At sea it is not necessary. In rivers and reservoirs, authorization must be requested (responsible declaration) in the corresponding hydrographic confederation (if you are interested we can process it).

If you have parking you can hang it on the wall with special supports or roof with ribbons. Normally the nautical clubs offer pupillage service, a very comfortable option to always have the kayak prepared by the water. Another option is to opt for an inflatable kayak, a removable one or one of the smaller models.

With normal bars and with accessories such as transport kits, oval supports or jacks and ribbons. If the kayak excels the car, it will be marked with an homologated reflective.

Kayaks can be made of polyethylene (a type of plastic) or fibber. Polyethylene is a more resistant material than fibber but, on the contrary, fibber is lighter. Both materials can be repaired.

Climb whenever possible from the water, do not drag it. If you use it in the sea, give it sweet water every now and then, avoid long exposures to the sun and keep it so that it can not deform.

KAYAK K.1 has a repair and reconstruction workshop for kayaks, paddles and other accessories. This service includes:

  • Welding and reconstruction of polyethylene kayaks.
  • Reconstruction of kayaks and blades of fiberglass, coal, Kevlar-coal and Kevlar.
  • Repair of PVC and Hypalon boats (neoprene).
  • Neoprene Repair: neoprene covers, dresses, gloves, etc.
